One story that needs to go on this blog:
We were playing soccer when I told someone that I wasn't wearing the right shoes (I had running shoes on). He responded, "you can walk in them, right?" After I said I could, he said, "then they are good shoes!"
Let's not forget life's many blessings that can so easily be forgotten.
Eric,
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting your experiences. It is wonderful to hear. Grant is doing great in the Dominican Republic. He is learning a lot in many ways. He is experiencing some of the same things you are with the poverty, etc. - different language, though! I've read quite a few books about Africa and I love to hear your personal perspective. Your dad has an amazing way with words. Keep up the good work. <Mary Ellen
Eric, I read your blog. Glad to see you're having a great time. I head off to my grandparent's/college on Monday, so I'll see you later. Feel free to email me or text me or call me.
